Blue Agave Restaurante y Tequileria is located at 1032 Light Street in the historic McHenry Theater building in Federal Hill, just one block north of Cross Street Market. Blue Agave has been dubbed "up-scale" Mexican and is unique in its variety of Mexican cuisine from authentic regional dishes featuring rich, earthy flavors, to the fresh flavors of the coastal regions. Our menu features seasonal offerings to take advantage of the freshest ingredients available, and to ensure that there is always something new and exciting for our guests to enjoy. Aside from its emphasis on regional Mexican fare, Blue Agave is proud to offer over 130 premium tequilas, some of which are not available anywhere else. For those not yet introduced to the world of tequila, please visit our page entitled ‘Tequila’ for a glimpse into the harvesting and production of this mysterious libation, and a comprehensive menu of our offerings. If your experience with tequila has been limited to your radical college days, ‘body shots’ with liquid fire that could dissolve the rust off of your ’55 Impala, and hangovers that lasted for 3 days, then do yourself a great favor and let us introduce you to the wonderful world of tequila which includes golden liquid that is made to be sipped and enjoyed with a good cigar, much like the finest cognacs. For margarita aficionados, Blue Agave makes a variety of its own creative concoctions and serves them fresh in large 14oz glasses up or on the rocks. The frozen variety is not an option here and you won’t find any blenders behind the bar, for using such a piece of machinery damages the delicate composition of the tequila rendering it less flavorful!

Blue Agave brings the flavors and scents of Mexico to you in a warm casual cantina environment with exposed brick and plaster walls, time worn wooden floors, and custom tile top tables. The warm coral and maize hues of sand and sun, and the blues and greens of the sea and sky complete the scene and set the stage. Lunch & Brunch Served Saturday starting at 11am & Sunday starting at 10:00am. Open Daily for Dinner at 5pm. Closed Monday. Reservations are recommended Friday and Saturdays. Street parking is available in designated areas, and the West Street parking garage is two blocks away. In addition to private dinner party bookings, we are available to cater on-premise private and corporate parties for weekday luncheons.
